Summary: Loved the property. 4 of us stayed at the house and did a mix of golf in the area, Minnesot Beach CC has great golf, and we fished from the pier in the property with good success. House had everything we needed and lived the area. Many thanks to the host for their communication and attention to detail. Would definitely go back.

Summary: Perfect in every way…except one minor thing…could use a slightly larger shower. But then again, it might lessen the cottage’s charm & that certainly wouldn’t do it justice. Loved our time here.

Summary: Terry the owner made everything easy and comfortable. The location was perfect. We visited Bath, Washington, Oriental and Emerald Isle. We sat on the dock and watched about 8-10 dolphin swim by one day, then saw a few the next day. We watched the sail boats and fighter jets fly over. The house is very cottage like. Everything we needed was at our disposal! We napped on the sleeping porch. It was a much needed R&R vacation.

Summary: This home was very accommodating. It had all the supplies needed. It was not the owners fault that we could not swim in the river due to the jellyfish. Our only recommendation was to have a different type of sun shade for For the deck to be able to sit out there longer during the day . She had everything That you can think of you might need for your stay from a paperclip to extra blankets to cooking utensils, trays, you name it she had it. The only negative thing was that the owner prefers you not to use the washer and dryer

Summary: This property was such an awesome place for our week long vacation. Beautiful house and dock with so many dolphins and other interesting things swimming by. We loved the location and the ferry into the tourist areas. We used the crab traps and fished off the dock daily. The provided kayaks were also a huge plus. Terry is also the very best host EVER.

Summary: I love staying here and waking up to the sunrise! Observing the morning light on the water without getting out of bed is great!! The ferry is down the street and gets you to Beaufort and Morehead City. You can sail in Oriental, and drive to New Bern to shop and sightsee. We did all those fun things as well as just enjoying the views of nature from our rental.

Summary: This is our second time staying at this property. We love it! It is charming, cozy but with lots of space, and the attention to detail is just perfect. You feel like you are staying in a home well loved, where joyful memories and lazy days on the river flourish. I am sure I will be back for a third stay.

Summary: Lovely well-appointed cottage provided a sweet spot of serenity and possibilities. Furnishings are lovely and comfortable for those lazy afternoons or settling in after a day of outdoor adventure. There is a wide variety of activities on site: bicycling about the neighborhood, swimming, kayaking, fishing and crabbing, as well as reclining, napping, and nature- and boat-watching. The cottage is close to historical and/or nautical sights and activities, and the (free!) ferry to get there if needed - google maps includes it in the route. The artists at the Village Gallery due east in Oriental are varied, talented, and prolific. There is much to see (and touch!) there with artists in-house, conveniently next to a coffee shop. My favorite things: rain on the metal roof, sunrises and sunsets out on the dock with fish jumping, cool breezes, and a welcoming 'home' to return to when we sought out adventures to the beach or sea-facing communities nearby. The favorite things of the teenagers with me: hammock, proximity to shenanigans and escapades, and flawless Wi-Fi (of course). I cannot say enough about the host and the neighbors if there are questions about anything: there is so much love and knowledge about the area. The provided Alexa was no match for that - it was only good for weather and random noises. We can't wait to plan our next getaway!
